Key Benefits of Chiropractic Adjustments

  • Decrease Pain/Stiffness/Muscle Tightness
  • Increase Spinal Movement and Mobility
  • Help facilitate healing to the spine and nervous system for "holistic" (total person) health.

Chiropractic--The Past and Today's Chiropractor

Spinal Manipulations have been used for thousands of years.  Hippocrates, the Father of Medicine, used the technique of manipulation over 2,000 years ago.  Through out history many world renowned doctors and scientists have recognized the correlation between the spine, nervous system and "holistic" (total person) health.

A Chiropractor is a specialized health care professional that is specially trained in spinal adjustments, soft tissue manipulation, and related techniques for treating and preventing spinal problems.  Chiropractors also emphasize not only spinal health, but overall wellness for a healthy body.

Chiropractors are required to attend a minimum of six years of college study and to complete a clinic internship.  Today's chiropractic academic training is of equivalent standard to medical training in all pre-clinical subjects.

Chiropractic Procedures

A chiropractic treatment plan consist of Dr. Patrick Massie setting up a completely individual treatment program consisting of an evaluation, treatment and preventative care.

    Evaluation
A chiropractic examination may consist of a complete health history, a thorough physical examination, x-ray and sometimes special tests.
    Treatment
The chiropractor, after evaluation, will design a treatment program that is individualized.  The treatment may include spinal adjustment, soft tissue manipulation and/or related treatment.
    Prevention
